Media Wall and Accent wall:

It's been a little while since I've shared here, but I've been busy doing what I love most — helping clients transform their homes! ✨

My clients had just moved into a new construction home and wanted to add a personal touch to their space. Their family room had a two-story blank wall that felt very sparse. They wanted a wow factor — something that would immediately draw attention to the wall while also providing functionality to hold a large TV and display shelving.

I designed a custom media wall with the scale of the room in mind. It features large niches for displaying décor pieces, including a special spot to showcase one of my clients' beautiful large brass statues. Each niche is highlighted with a spotlight, and we added fluted panels at the back to bring in texture. Painting them in a slightly darker shade — SW Natural Tan — made that texture really pop.

The formal living room was also a blank slate. We added picture frame molding on one wall and painted it in a calming, beautiful color — BM Smoke. My clients wanted turquoise and orange accents in the room, and the accent wall creates the perfect backdrop for their décor. Since this is the first room guests see when they enter the home, it sets a warm and welcoming tone right away.

So excited to finally share this one — needless to say, my clients love it!

Family room makeover … feels cozy and inviting with the right size furniture!! My clients did the DIY by painting the built-ins which made a big difference in the overall feel of the room!! They were going for a light and airy feel and that’s what we achieved.

Living room makeover:

My client had all the foundational pieces in the room but wanted to make the room feel cozy and inviting. We started by switching the gray walls to warm white. For wall decor, we used some of her existing pieces and added a few new pieces to create a gallery wall. We also added few more furniture pieces like coffee table, end tables, and a chair to improve functionality. A new rug, pillows, plants and her collected decor instantly brought the room to life!!

In the dining room, storage was the priority. I sourced cost-effective sideboards that offer plenty of storage while complimenting the space and her existing dining table. We used four of them, spanning over 120” in width. Layering art and decor on top helped fill and style the long surface.

Small changes, big impact … this project shows how thoughtful editions, combined with what you already own, can truly transform a space!! It always brings me joy to know that my clients are happy!!

Home Office Makeover:

My client’s home office looked nice, but she wanted to elevate it further. We chose dark, rich, earthy green walls. To add interest, we designed a focal wall with picture frame molding and a fun geometric wallpaper inside the frames – this became the main feature, eliminating the need for any wall décor.

A new light fixture, window curtains, and a cozy reading nook completed the look.

While the original desk was nice, my client wanted the functionality of a standing desk, so we replaced it. The highlight of the project, however, was the credenza. My client – who had never painted before – got inspired to repurpose it with chalk paint. The piece was the perfect size and provided storage, but its original color didn’t fit the new decor. She did an incredible job transforming it, and now it looks amazing in the room!!

Family room makeover:

This room was a blank canvas when my client hired me to design her family room. She wanted a warm, cozy, light and airy space - and that's exactly what we have achieved.

Given the large size of the room, selecting the right scale of furniture and thoughtful space planning were key. We created a central conversational area and added a cozy reading nook by the window. Layering different textures and materials brought depth to the monochromatic palette, while earthy tones made the space feel warm and inviting.

Biophillic design is currently trending, and I think this room captures the essence of nature-inspired look. My client loves her new room!

Family Room and Powder Room makeover:

Continuing from the previous post ... this is the family room part of that project. We transformed this room with new furniture, decor, and custom built-ins and kept the a monochromatic look with light and airy feel. The brick fireplace received a subtle update with lime wash paint for a refreshed look.

Space planning and choosing the right furniture for this room was critical for better functionality. By floating the furniture pieces in the middle of the room provided the ideal layout.

The powder room was my client's concept and design, which I helped personalize and adapt to their space. It got a moody makeover with rich, dark tones. Color drenching a new trend where you paint walls, trim, and ceiling in the same color. The color can be either dark or light, depending on the vibe you want to create.

Dining room and Foyer makeover:

My client recently moved into a new home and wanted the space to reflect their personality. We chose a rich, dark gray for the walls, instantly adding depth and sophistication. Picture frame molding adds a timeless touch, blending beautifully with both traditional and contemporary styles.

To balance the dark walls, we incorporated a light wood dining table, soft window drapes, and curated wall art, keeping the overall palette monochromatic. We broke away from the rule book with an oversized chandelier that makes a bold statement in the room.

Subtle updates in the foyer using similar design elements create a cohesive flow between the spaces, making the home feel warm and inviting.
