AITA:
every year on Memorial Day, we do our big laundry at the laundromat. Blankets, pillows, rugs, catbeds, the big stuff.
It's on the calendar. We gave daily reminders every day this week.
We PAY our 20 year old son $100 to sit there & to do the move to the dryers.
We help sort, fold, & re-bag everything (we're doing Spring yard work while he's there).

This morning after breakfast everyone was reminded to strip their rooms of bedding/pillows, bag, & put them in the truck bed.

Our son procrastinated to play a video game for 3 hours instead.

Now he's mad that the laundromat is busy, it was empty with all units available at 11am because everyone was at the Memorial Day parade downtown.
Now he's angry & mad we're not going to pay more because he'll be there all day now. And said we didnt remind him ENOUGH times. (We gave 5 or 6 reminders, he refused to move until I disconnected the wifi & suspended his phone services from the Verizon app.)
I feel like the extra work at the same price + dealing with the crowd is a natural consequence.
He lives at home free, as an adult until he finds employment and until then he has extra chores & responsibilities like mowing to contribute to the household. We provide everything he needs.
