Be The Best You. ✊🔥

One of the hardest parts about losing weight and getting healthy is finding and keeping the motivation to stay on track when things get tough.

Tips for support:

1. Define all the reasons you want to get healthy and write them down. Make sure your motivation is driven from within for long-term success.
2. Focus on short-term (or process) goals instead of outcome goals. An example is exercising three days a week. Achieving these small goals along the process will help to ignite that motivation.
3. Find support. Write down your goals and track your progress to be your own cheerleader. Tell family and friends about your getting healthy plans for extra support or find a buddy to help keep you accountable.

I had an in-depth conversation this week with my kids about diversity, racism, the history of racism and civil rights, and being anti-racist.

They asked lots of questions while I listened and answered to the best of my ability. We talked about understanding, respecting, and appreciating the differences between people, including the many colors of skin, and what they can do to stay open-minded about the diversity they’ll encounter. We ended with the fact that while race is a huge part of who we are and where we come from, we’re all human first.

I sat down later that night, thinking about what all we had said, and my fingers started hitting the trackpad. This design was the end result; one of the best ways I know how to communicate.
