POV: You make a new friend and end up in Vegas sourcing and buying for your brands

From the bright neon lights of Las Vegas to a silent home office. Now the real work begins.

Sometimes I sit at my desk and stare at the sample garments hanging on the rack in front of my window and think, will people like them? Will people buy this? What am I doing?

I think the easy part is the sourcing and the buying. It’s easy to know what you like, to see what is available to you and think “I’d love to produce something like that”. Anyone can do that. The hard part comes next. It’s the technical designing, the sampling process, the fit, the details, the fronting of all the money to produce pieces that may or may not sell. That’s the scary part.

Throughout the last 4 years of Coastal Cowboy I’ve thought about what would it look like if I didn’t start this business. I wouldn’t have spent so much money on a dream. I could’ve saved so much more. I could’ve spent it on the house, taking actual vacations, or investing more for my future. It scares me, honestly. But it scares me equally as much to think of my life without Coastal Cowboy. Without any creative outlet. It’s never been enough for me to just “do something fun on the side”, for me, it must be all consuming, and it has to come from the part of my soul that isn’t afraid.

Besides our pajamas, our candles have a cult following 🙂‍↔️ The number 1 comment I receive about them, is that our scents are not overpowering and that they’re unlike anything you’ve ever smelled before!

As someone who is actually allergic to fragrance mix, creating custom candle scents has been my favorite thing to do for Coastal Cowboy!

I can proudly say these candles are make in Nashville, are nickel free, paraban and paraffin free, pet friendly and clean burning 🤏 The golden slipper we love you 🩵

Y’all are going to LOVE this Christmas scent that’s coming out this Fall/Winter!

My wildest dreams came true having a space for Coastal Cowboy!! As someone who grew up re-decorating their room over and over, sketching out layouts, and buying things far in advance of ever owning a home…having your own place to make 100% Coastal Cowboy has always been the dream!

From the pop-ups in a 10x10 white tent to our shopping space, I never wanted it to feel like a store. The goal was always to make you feel like you were in my own home. Home decorating has always been a huge passion of mine, so I am thrilled to have this space that I can really share the world of Coastal Cowboy with you, every season and every milestone! 🤍
