Went to the ACS quilt week in Paducah, KY last weekend and saw amazing work by fellow quilters around the world. Here are some of my favorite works. Caveat: these quilts are NOT done by me, but of various artists around the world. Thank you for viewing.

I’ve become extremely discouraged. What is the point in having a handcrafting business if no one is willing to buy your items at non-Walmart/Target prices?? Seriously losing my artistic bug…

My next project. Paperpiecing this dinosaur together. FYI: (this is a quilting technique using odd shapes from a paper design and stitching the fabric together from the pattern right through the paper.)
There are 158 pattern pieces, with some having over 12 pieces to attach together to make the one pattern piece. (See piece 118a-p in the pictures below) This is a HUGE undertaking for me as I’ve never done paper piercing before. This quilt will be for a 6 year old boy named Jaxson. He loves dinosaurs, and I think this pattern/quilt idea will grow with him into adulthood too. I’ll keep you posted on the updates!!
