Homes that have an authentic identity often belong to people who are thoughtful with how they create the space and are considered with how they want to live. You do not need a hefty budget to build something that is personable, functional, and beautiful!
For this private residence project the walls received a fresh coat of textured plaster paint and the oak floors were refinished to create a neutral canvas.
A new modern walnut table was paired up with vintage Era armchairs (found at an antique store) that we restored to its former charm. A large dynamic painting anchors the room and adds moody blue tones that compliments the monochromatic scheme. New accessories and artwork were layered with the familyâs collected books and treasured memorabilia.
The result is a modern space that is warm and livable. The goal wasnât about designing to a specific style, but editing a collection of curated pieces that genuinely reflects the different personalities who live there.
