Juneteenth✊🏽 + Beginning of Summer☀️ + Father’s Day👨🏾 what a weekend!

Thank you to everyone that stopped by my tables at my events over the weekend, whether it was to buy a candle, sign up for my newsletter, or just learn more about what I do! It always makes my heart happy to meet other candle lovers 🥰

My Seasonal Summer candles made their annual debut and they were a hit! 🌟 So much so that they sold out 😅 but I’ll be restocking them on my Etsy shop very soon!

A huge shoutout to my wonderful husband (the best father my baby could have 🥹) and amazing aunts for being my AstroScents ambassadors and helping me out this weekend. Support from my family truly means everything to me 💖

AstroScents is going to be at the 5th Annual Juneteenth Freedom Parade, hosted by — and this one is going to be something special. ✊🏾🕯️

come celebrate freedom with us on Staten Island. we’ll be set up at the Freedom Marketplace where you can shop our full collection of 100% soy wax candles and wax melts alongside an incredible lineup of vendors offering food, jewelry, fashion, accessories, and natural products.

here’s the full day:

🎺 11:00am — Lineup begins at School Road & Bay Street (outside Von Briesen Park & Fort Wadsworth), Staten Island, NY 10305

🪘 12:00pm — Parade begins, led by the Black Cowboys and The Western Pulse Ensemble honoring the history of Black Cowboys and Cowgirls from the Old West

🎉 Floats include: Harriet Tubman · Madam CJ Walker · Freedom Fighters · Afrofuturism — plus school marching bands

📍 1:00pm — Parade ends at Tappen Park, Bay Street (Water & Canal Streets), Staten Island, NY 10304

🌟 1:00pm–6:00pm — Freedom Festival at Tappen Park featuring the raising of the Juneteenth flag, Libation ceremony, live music by the East Coast Inspirational Singers, historical reenactment by the SI Juneteenth Freedom Players, DJ, live performances, and vendors — including us 🕯️

the oldest freedom celebration in the United States. we’ll see you there. 🌙✨

what a day. what a month. what a community. 🌙✨

to everyone who stopped by the AstroScents table at the 5th Annual Women in Business Expo — thank you. whether you picked up a candle, signed up for our emails, or just came over to learn about what we do, you made this day mean something. every single conversation reminded me exactly why I started this business.

and to see Council Majority Leader , her Chief of Staff, and so many incredible female business owners all in one room — lifting each other up, celebrating each other’s work, investing in each other’s dreams — that energy was something I’ll carry with me for a long time. 🕯️
there is nothing quite like being surrounded by women who show up for each other. and there is no better way to close out Women’s History Month than that🌌
