Maybe it’s a second sink so two people can prep without getting in each other’s way. Or a coffee station with refrigeration below, so everything you need in the morning lives in one place.

For one client, pull-out drying racks meant dishes could air-dry without taking over the countertops. And a generously sized farmhouse sink; a little extra room really does make everyday cleanup easier.

These aren’t features we add because they sound impressive. They come from understanding the little frustrations we can design out of your day.

You might think luxury design is all about making your home an entertainment hot-spot, ready to impress guests.

That’s 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵 of it. But the most valuable design makes your home work beautifully during life’s “in-between” moments. Tuesday dinners after soccer practice, or early mornings getting everyone out the door with all the gear they need for a great day. Life is an accumulation of these small moments, made even better with thoughtful design.

You might have an incredible art collection, but no idea where certain pieces would look best or what they would look best next to. That’s where we come in, because placing (and sourcing) artwork is one of our favorite parts of the design process.

For this dining room, we gave our client’s colorful geometric abstract piece a prominent place where it could become a natural conversation starter. Since we love to accessorize with lighting, we selected a gold-toned chandelier whose spherical lights echo the shapes in the artwork.

A rule of thumb for where to spend vs. save: consider how difficult it will be to change down the line.

We recommend investing:
→ Layout and space planning. Getting this blueprint right the first time is important, because it affects how you’ll live in your space.
→ Upholstery that’s family-friendly and actually holds up for years.

Where you can save:
→ Kids’ rooms. We can make these special without breaking the bank. It’s smart to invest in adaptable furniture, but not necessarily on the decorative elements they’ll outgrow.
→ Decorative accessories. Pillows and other small accents can be easily replaced over time.
