This second look at my latest room transformation shows another along with the pretty styling on the custom white oak floating shelves. Styling remotely (me in CA and my client in CT) takes lots of active participation on my client’s part. Thank you for taking it on with grace and patience! Can’t wait for our next project!

After about a 7 month hiatus, we are finally feeling settled into our new home in California. Here’s a first look at my latest project. Still very much a work in progress but so happy with how this is coming along. We took it from dark and stodgy to fresh and airy. So much more livable and inviting. And the small pops of green go a long way to bring the outside in for that true indoor/outdoor vibe. Have a look at the before. Let me know what you think!

A more beautiful city does not exist in summertime than Chicago. On this crazy cross country journey we made sure to give ourselves two nights here so we could actually see the city. And see the city we did. In one full day. From Wrigley to Michigan Ave to Lou Malnati’s on State and Oak for a deep dish pizza lunch to Devil Dawgs in the South Loop for dinner. From Lincoln Park to Grant Park and Millennium Park, Navy Pier, the beach area on gorgeous Lake Michigan and a stroll along the river on Wacker. Then around the theater district and the downtown area where we stayed, we covered it all-or as much as one can cover in a single day. This city deserves more than one day so it goes on the list of “must return to soon” places. .dawgs

Days 2 & 3 of our journey is in Chicago where we’ve covered just about every corner of this beautiful city in two days. But I have to share this amazing hotel-The Kimpton Gray. The decor is some of the coolest and most unique of any hotel I’ve stayed at. Starting with this awesome bathroom. The lighting throughout the room is amazing such as this oversized sphere (➡️). I love the mix of modern and art deco, in keeping with the architecture of this historic building. And did I mention it’s very pooch friendly? Reggie approves! Road trip to Cali: Day 1. Cleveland, OH. What a charming, walkable city Cleveland is. The architectural crown jewel is Terminal Tower here all lit up in support of the home team. Scroll to see more—> The inside of the Arcade is incredible from tile floor to decorative metal ceiling —> and outside facade that reminds me of many buildings in my hometown NYC. Next stop on this crazy journey: Chi-town.

After nine amazing years in Fairfield, CT, my family and I are relocating to Southern California! I’m taking a little time from my design business to get the family settled but very soon Nicole Miranda Interiors will be available for residential interiors on both coasts! If there is one thing we learned during the COVID-19 shutdown, we are very adept at doing interior design virtually. Plus, I will make regular trips back East to check in on progress and say hi to old and new clients in person! In the meantime, I’ll be posting the diverse architecture, natural beauty and of course gorgeous interiors I encounter as I drive across this big beautiful country. 🇺🇸

Bling on the ceiling? Yes, please! The small hallway leading to the master bath needed a little love so we added this fabulous ruffled edge, gold hammered, metal ceiling light and pretty Roman shade to tie-in with the rest of the space. 🔆🔅🔆

Creams, whites, grays, natural tones and brass accents make this master bedroom retreat feel bright, airy and oh so serene. Hard to pick just one favorite but the standouts have to be the Grenada wallpaper above the board and batten wall treatment. And the pair of round wood and linen upholstered stools with that sweet caning detail or the white lacquered night stands all from Or maybe it’s the wingback headboard from or the funky glass disk ceiling pendant.
