Highlight of the summer last couple of years, Galerie Sardine now presents KRITIKA MANCHANDA & RAFAEL PRIETO: THERE, WHEN, along with JUSTIN BRADSHAW’s ever-ephemeral, intimate works. Themes of memory and space are lingering among the furnishings, lamps, and objects from Somerset House. Such a pleasure to experience this effortless intention.

Tonal, monolithic private bath in a current East Hampton project, minimal in detailing, with classic materiality and fittings. 
Large plains of travertine and plaster are soft yet decisively geometric. The vanity is inspired by a bibliothèque cabinet, its pure form underlined by the rhythm of hand-cast hardware. The hidden shower drain allows for an uninterrupted stone floor, while the flush rain shower gives presence to heritage fittings. Barely translucent ceramic wall lights are layered in.

I so enjoy exploring this pull between the ephemeral, future-bound lightness and the grounding of the past, always balancing on the edge.
