Lebanese contemporary artist with a current focus on digital painting and printing. I am a painter at play with the spectrums between dichotomies.

Starting in the study of classical painting techniques and expanding into graphic design and illustration through my company, the Konstrukt, in Beirut, I soon turned to my art full-time. My art is my process, and my way of processing cultural and personal grief all around and within. I move between canvas and touch-screen functionally and intentionally - trying to stand at their edges. Raised in L

ebanon, a country steeped in tradition, and now living in New York City, the epicenter of freedom of the hustle and self-expression, I strive to create a dialogue that engages both the classical and the contemporary art worlds, and advances the conversation beyond their duality. My focus is on creating art in a way that feels like play while simultaneously transcending the boundaries, limitations, and expectations of opposed worlds -- the figure is an abstract of the subject or the subject is the abstract of a figure. My most recent work is a study of the line between digital and analog painting, through a process that by design emphasizes mindfulness and impermanence.

“The Untitled One” (2018) - 72x60 (150x100cm) acrylic and polymer on canvas from my grad series “Primordial Oo-Ah!”

A painting made at the edge of structure and surrender.

This canvas began with three marks—glyphs, really—anchored in instinct. Then came the rupture: a smear too raw, too magenta, too much. From there, the process wasn’t about “composition” anymore. It was about recovery. About choosing what to protect, what to bury, and what to let scream.

I think of it as a membrane. A psychic surface. Things pass through it—color, memory, tension, joy—but nothing remains intact. The painting changes you, but only if you let it.
