Aunt Marg's Shortbread ✨

Hey there, sweetie pie! 💖 Ready for a super easy and incredibly delicious shortbread recipe? This one's a keeper, passed down from my Aunt Marg, and it's guaranteed to be a hit. It's so buttery and crumbly, it just melts in your mouth! Perfect for sharing with friends or keeping all to yourself. We won't tell! 😉

You'll need:
- 1 cup softened salted butter 🧈
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar 🍬
- 2 cups all-purpose flour 🌾

Let's get baking!
1. Turn your oven on to 300°F (150°C) and let it get nice and warm.
2. Grab a big bowl and your mixer. Cream the soft butter and confectioners' sugar together until it's light and fluffy, like a cloud! ☁️
3. Slowly, bit by bit, add in the flour. Mix just until it comes together into a beautiful, soft dough. The less you handle it, the more tender your cookies will be!
4. Sprinkle a little flour on your counter and roll out the dough to about a half-inch thick.
5. Now for the fun part! Cut the dough into squares, rectangles, or even little hearts with a cookie cutter. ❤️
6. Place your cut-out shortbread on a baking sheet. No need to grease it!
7. Pop them in the oven for about 25-30 minutes. They're ready when the edges are just barely golden.
8. Let them hang out on the baking sheet for a few minutes before moving them to a cooling rack.

Get ready to devour them! 🥰

Minecraft Cake Recipe 🎁👾
🧩 Ingredients
👾 For the Cake:
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
1 cup whole milk
3 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 tablespoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
Red food coloring (for decoration)
For the Frosting:
3 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Red fondant or red square-shaped candies (for decoration)
Green fondant (for the grass block base, optional)

🕹️Preparation Method

Step 1: Prepare the Cake
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a square cake pan (8×8 inches) with parchment paper.
Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Cream Butter and Sugar:
In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
Add Eggs and Vanilla:
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Combine Ingredients:
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until the batter is smooth and fully combined.
Bake the Cake:
Pour the batter into the prepared square cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool completely before decorating.

Step 2: Prepare the Frosting
Make the Buttercream Frosting:
In a large bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and fluffy.
Divide Frosting:
Set aside a portion of white frosting for the top layer (to resemble the in-game cake’s white top). Optional: You can add some green food coloring to the remaining frosting for the grass block decoration.

Step 3: Assemble the Cake
Cut and Layer:
Cut the cooled cake into square pieces to mimic the blocky appearance of Minecraft. If desired, you can create a two-layer cake for more height and structure.
Apply the Frosting:
Frost the top of the cake with the white frosting. Smooth it out with a spatula to resemble the pixelated in-game look.
If you’re adding a green “grass” layer (for a grass block effect), frost the sides of the cake with green frosting or use green fondant.
Decorate the Cake:
Use red fondant cut into small squares or place red candy pieces on top of the white frosting to mimic the iconic red spots seen on the Minecraft cake.

Step 4: Chill the Cake
Refrigerate the decorated cake for at least 1 hour to allow the frosting to set before serving.

Cake Pop Recipe 🍭🍡
🍭 Ingredients
Cake:
1 box of cake mix (any flavor) + ingredients needed to make the cake (usually eggs, oil, and water)
Alternatively, you can use leftover cake or homemade cake.

Frosting:
1/3 to 1/2 cup frosting (store-bought or homemade)
Choose a complementary flavor based on your cake (e.g., vanilla cake with vanilla frosting, chocolate cake with chocolate frosting).
Candy Melts or Chocolate for Coating:
1 to 2 cups of candy melts or chocolate for dipping
Optional: Food coloring for candy melts (if you want custom colors)

Decorations:
Sprinkles, edible glitter, crushed nuts, coconut flakes, or candy for decoration.

🍡 Preparation Method
Bake the Cake:
Prepare and bake the cake according to the package instructions or your recipe. Let it cool completely.

Crumble the Cake:
Once the cake has cooled, crumble it into fine crumbs using your hands or a fork. Make sure there are no large pieces left.

Mix with Frosting:
Add 1/3 to 1/2 cup of frosting to the crumbled cake. Mix well until the mixture has a dough-like consistency. Add more frosting if needed, but avoid adding too much or it will become too soft.

Shape the Cake Balls:
Roll the mixture into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) or other shapes (hearts, stars, etc.). Place the balls on a lined baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours or freeze for 30 minutes to help them firm up.

Insert the Sticks:
Melt a small amount of candy melts or chocolate. Dip the end of each lollipop stick into the melted candy, then insert it about halfway into each cake ball. This helps the stick stay in place.
Let the cake pops set for 10-15 minutes in the fridge.

Dip the Cake Pops:
Melt the rest of the candy melts or chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler.
Dip each cake pop into the melted candy, turning it to coat evenly. Let any excess drip off by gently tapping the stick against the bowl.

Decorate:
While the coating is still wet, add sprinkles or other decorations. Place the cake pops upright in a stand or a foam block to let them dry completely.
