Susan Connor is a self-taught pattern designer and artist with a longtime passion for life's authentic luxuries. Launched in early 2014, her eponymous collection combines her style sense with her seeker's nature, blending inspiration from traditions in the decorative arts with a modern vibe of relaxed yet elegant simplicity. From her studio located in Bushwick, Brooklyn, she works to bring meaningful story, texture, detail and a sense of the artistic process to each item she creates. Susan's collection aims to feel at once comforting and inspiring, and draws heavily on bohemian themes and her own artistic lifestyle. Her inspiration is found in diverse, often surprising places, imperfections are embraced, and the beauty of simple materials is celebrated and elevated.

Pardon me while I get philosophical but ...
I'm thinking about balance, today. Seems a good thing to do on a Monday, no?...sometimes, the amount of work and thought that I put into seemingly simple designs makes me wonder if I am certifably crazy. But...I really believe in a moment where things balance out. It's a quiet moment, yet very clear. Very direct.

I do a lot of yoga. More and more, as I am now 50. And lately, I see, it echoes and supports the things I work towards creatively. I am thankful for my practice. And for those who help me practice. And I am thankful for my creativity. 😊 I'm curious if anyone else in this space does yoga?
