A graduate of the prestigious New York School for Interior Design, Julie brings a world of experience to every client collaboration. Interior design has always been a lifelong passion, beginning with the homes and apartments she's lived in from San Diego to Florida and on to her home in New York City. Color and its uses to create mood and harmony are hallmarks of her style, a passion from her year

s in clothing design. Prior to working in design, she had a successful career as a buyer of fashion merchandise for national department and specialty store chains. Her years in the retail business, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Business give her an excellent understanding of real life business decisions that must be made every day. "The style of designs I create is dictated by the client and the project. I strive to work in the genre of the client's needs and tastes, rather than dictating my style upon them." Julie has also chosen to use her gifts to give back to her community. As a breast cancer survivor, she worked in both 2010 and 2011 as Project Manager at Holiday House, the holiday-themed designer showhouse in New York City, benefiting the Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer research. While there she collaborated with many of New York's most talented top designers. Julie has a one-of-a-kind expertise, combining her interior design experience and business acumen with her training in the eastern art of Feng Shui. She is certified in Contempory Classical methodology, as taught by Metropolitan Institute of Interior Design, a Gold Medal program approved by the International Feng Shui Guild (IFSG). Her holistic approach will allow you to adjust your surroundings to stimulate your life. This process allows her to help clients realize their life visions and to create spaces that enhance THESE dreams. A smaller space doesn't necessarily call for smaller furniture.

A few well-scaled pieces can actually make a room feel more open than filling it with lots of smaller items. Add multifunctional furniture into the mix, and you're making every piece work a little harder.

Especially helpful when designing for New York living!

Marble will always be a classic, but we love seeing it used in warmer, more unexpected ways.

Pairing marble with natural wood or warm metals can completely change the feeling of the stone, while larger, more expressive veining gives it a beautiful focal point.
