A graduate of the prestigious New York School for Interior Design, Julie brings a world of experience to every client collaboration. Interior design has always been a lifelong passion, beginning with the homes and apartments she's lived in from San Diego to Florida and on to her home in New York City. Color and its uses to create mood and harmony are hallmarks of her style, a passion from her year

s in clothing design. Prior to working in design, she had a successful career as a buyer of fashion merchandise for national department and specialty store chains. Her years in the retail business, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Business give her an excellent understanding of real life business decisions that must be made every day. "The style of designs I create is dictated by the client and the project. I strive to work in the genre of the client's needs and tastes, rather than dictating my style upon them." Julie has also chosen to use her gifts to give back to her community. As a breast cancer survivor, she worked in both 2010 and 2011 as Project Manager at Holiday House, the holiday-themed designer showhouse in New York City, benefiting the Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer research. While there she collaborated with many of New York's most talented top designers. Julie has a one-of-a-kind expertise, combining her interior design experience and business acumen with her training in the eastern art of Feng Shui. She is certified in Contempory Classical methodology, as taught by Metropolitan Institute of Interior Design, a Gold Medal program approved by the International Feng Shui Guild (IFSG). Her holistic approach will allow you to adjust your surroundings to stimulate your life. This process allows her to help clients realize their life visions and to create spaces that enhance THESE dreams. Not every bathroom needs a full renovation.

Sometimes a space simply needs updated finishes or better lighting. Other times, the real issue is how the room functions — limited storage, awkward circulation, or a layout that no longer supports daily routines.

Understanding that difference early tends to shape the entire direction of a project.

Bathrooms are one of the most heavily used spaces in a home, which is why small design decisions tend to matter quickly.

Storage, lighting placement, circulation, and how the space supports daily routines all shape whether the room continues to function well over time.

The best bathroom renovations usually improve how the space feels and how it works simultaneously.

Some homes feel calmer the moment you walk in.

It’s usually not because of one dramatic design choice, but because the space feels clear, intentional, and easy to move through.

That sense of ease tends to come from a series of quieter decisions made well over time.

More of our clients are creating dedicated beverage areas within the home — not just for entertaining, but to support daily routines in a more intentional way.

Whether it’s a coffee setup, tea station, or integrated wine bar, these spaces help keep the kitchen functioning more clearly while adding another layer of livability to the home.

In our latest blog, we share how we approach designing beverage bars that feel cohesive, functional, and integrated into the overall space.

We’re seeing more projects designed around specific routines rather than one central space doing everything.

Whether it’s coffee in the morning, a place to unwind in the evening, or areas for entertaining, defining these moments tends to make the home easier to use and more enjoyable to live in.

When spaces are designed with intention, they naturally start to work better.

We’re seeing more and more clients designing their homes around how they actually spend their time.

Beverage bars are a simple example of that shift — creating a dedicated space for daily routines or entertaining, rather than relying on one central area for everything.

One of the more consistent challenges in residential design is making sure a space feels settled once everything is in place.

A room can have all the right elements — good materials, thoughtful furniture, strong lighting — and still feel slightly off if those pieces aren’t working together.

That’s often where the real work happens, refining how everything sits so the space feels cohesive without needing to overdo it.

Most spaces don’t come together because of one big decision.

It’s usually a series of smaller adjustments — spacing, placement, proportion — that resolve the room.

That’s the part people don’t always see, but it’s what makes the biggest difference.
