As you know if you've been following me, I have been "busy" lately and haven't posted in a while. I am still creating from time to time but work and household stuff has taken most of my energy and attention recently.

I saw an Instagram ad calling for artists a couple of months ago and finally got the courage up to submit an email. The opportunity is with Compass Wellness on Davis Ave in Poughkeepsie, adding color and freshness to some of their waiting room walls.

On January 31st, I went and installed 5 paintings in their office. They will stay up for 3 months, after which I may be able to ask for another 3 months. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to show my artwork and even have the possibility that someone may fall in love with a piece and it can find a new home. Thank you again to Jackie and all of the team at Compass for supporting local artists while contributing to the mental wellness of those in the area!

Hey folks! It's been a while since I've had the bandwidth to focus on my creativity but I am coming out next weekend! Come find me at Art on the Block, part of a whole day of activities to Spring Into Downtown Newburgh on Saturday, May 10th. I can't wait to see my fellow artists and enjoy Spring with all of you!

Something new fresh off the bench. This is The Conversation, 16"x20", acrylic on canvas. Inspired by the 1974 Gene Hackman film. The greens and blues were inspired by the colors in the movie. Also the plot heavily involves sound recording and the shapes in this remind me of sound waves. Some people have said they see boats or mountains in this too.
