I've always been someone who finds a deeper meaning in everything.

Why Atropa?

When we first moved into our house, there was a vine growing in one of our shrubs, and I thought for sure we were so lucky, because it was one of the most beautiful, intricate flowers I'd ever seen.

Atropa Belladonna. The Deadly Nightshade.

We had to cut it all out and make sure it wouldn't return -for obvious reasons. But not before I thoroughly documented it!

When I had to come up with something to distinguish this collection of treasures from a business built on styling services and design, I thought of the Nightshade. Its beauty exists only in ephemeral memory: cut down, but long remembered-It's history long outlasting our brief meeting in the garden.

If you're rolling your eyes at this point, so am I--but there's something about those deep connections that wrap their long tendrils around the circuits of my mind and light them up. So if you're a little weird too, sometimes, stick around. I'm really glad you're here 🖤🫶

I think this is gonna be fun, guys.
I'm still working with clients,
Still doing random events that bring me joy,
But it's the treasure hunting that has connected me with more kind, wonderful people than anything else in the last year.

18 months.

I found photos the other day from when this idea of a nostalgia shop started niggling in my mind. At that time I was already burned out working full time, but the thought of having a space to create whatever my heart desired was the little glimmer of hope that I needed. The goals have shifted and changed probably every month since then, but here we are! A fully fleshed out brand system--services and goods and dreams.

Now here's the part that even I still cringe over. All of these renderings that I can't stand, yet I'm absolutely so grateful for. I stand in the evidence of the crossroads of AI or no AI😂. I hate it for so many reasons, but in a time where I found myself suddenly very alone with all my ideas and thoughts, I found a machine that was able to take every crazy idea and help me visualize it, understand it, and eventually believe in myself enough to put myself out there with all my silly photos because -lets be honest- my dusty hay loft barn photos really just don't cut it 😂. Until I find that perfect home for my studio, they will have to do. Love me or hate me for it-I'm evidence of the juxtaposition one can find themselves in in the middle of an industrial revolution.

And if you're stilllllll here--I will let you know that I do still put a ton of work into these renderings. They are the visions in my mind brought to life that I hope to one day bring to life with my hands. 🖤

Okay guys. If you know me, you know I'll keep working on something until I think it's the best version of itself -even me! Haha (Hello Therapy)

I've been slowly building this darn website and editing pages and adding products and changing products and selling and having to delete products ----and what's the point if I don't just throw it out into the world and see if it sticks?! It's time! And hopefully YOU'LL stick around to see if I ever finish and keep coming back to see what's new! I'm excited for where things are headed, though I'm never really sure from day to day where that may be! Thanks for being here and letting me dream a little with you!

What's your favorite childhood memory? 🥹

This past weekend we had our yard sale and one theme that stuck out to me was the way people light up when they see something that brings back a happy memory. Something that they used to do as a child with parents or grandparents. That's what I want to create here--those moments of joy and remembrance. We can then create our own moments for people to remember, creating joy in our spaces and places that we love.
