We’re wrapping up floral workshop season! Last night I taught my new Wild Blooms workshop, and it was such a fun one, a great way to loosen up and explore watercolor florals.

One more chance to get your floral fix: I’m teaching Wild Blooms again on Thursday, October 1st at Bouquet of Granger | Granger, Indiana Florist in Granger, IN. After that, no florals until spring!

I am so excited to announce The Little Palette Club! 🎨 My monthly mail club subscription.

Every month a new watercolor kit will be sent to your mailbox with a 5x7 art print and a water-resistant sticker (all featuring my artwork and designs!) This is meant to help you slow down and get into your creative zone.

En Plein Air Workshop 🌿

Ever heard of painting “en plein air”? It’s a French term that simply means painting outdoors, in front of your subject, instead of from a photo back at the studio. Artists have done it for centuries because there’s nothing like capturing the real thing in front of you.

For this workshop, we’re taking that idea indoors (sort of) and setting up inside the lush greenery of Potawatomi Conservatory. You’ll paint from life among the plants, in a space that feels like its own little world.

I break down this concept of “en plein air” so it’s accessible for all levels including beginners. We will be painting with watercolor but everything we learn will be applicable if you want to try painting en plein air with other mediums!
