A little peek behind the scenes… ✨

The nursery is starting to come to life! The wallcovering is in, the molding is taking shape, and the built-in bookcases are installed and ready to be filled with all the sweetest little treasures.

And if you’re wondering about the color palette… well, can you tell it’s a GIRL?! 🎀

There’s still more to come, but I’m loving watching this special space transform from a design concept into a beautiful room ready to welcome a new little one. 🤍

One of my favorite parts of being an interior designer is discovering products that truly elevate a home or business.

This week I previewed an exciting new carpet collection with the manufacturer’s representative in the studio!

We spent time reviewing textures, patterns, construction, and the custom details that make a difference in how a space looks—and how it lives.

I can’t wait to begin incorporating these beautiful new options into upcoming client projects. Soft underfoot, timeless in design, and full of possibilities.

Because selecting finishes isn’t just about choosing what’s beautiful—it’s about creating a home that feels uniquely yours.

✨ Some design traditions never go out of style!

Today my student intern and I went old school, creating a hand-curated inspiration board for one of our clients. There’s something special about flipping through magazines, tearing, pinning up, and watching a vision come to life.

While digital inspos are part of today’s design process, there’s still magic in creating a physical board. It sparks creativity, encourages collaboration, and helps clients truly experience the story behind their future space.

I’m also passionate about mentoring the next generation of designers, sharing not only design principles but also the hands-on techniques that have stood the test of time.

Sometimes the best ideas start with scissors, samples, and a little imagination. 🎨✨

This week, in pictures: 🌸

Designed a dreamy nursery. Wandered tile showrooms for the perfect bathroom finds. Hit the stone yard for slab selections that stopped us in our tracks. Sourced fixtures that make a statement. And yes — we stopped to smell the flowers along the way. 🌷

Good design takes a village of showrooms, samples, and a whole lot of driving around Hampton Roads. Wouldn’t have it any other way.

One of my favorite projects to design is a nursery. There’s something special about creating a room that will witness so many firsts.

This concept blends soft blush hues, elegant millwork, delicate florals, and timeless details inspired by the client’s love of classic beauty. The goal was to create a space that feels peaceful today and remains beautiful for years to come.

One of the things I love most about interior design is that no two projects are ever the same.

Lately, I’ve been working on a diverse mix of spaces, including:

✨ Multifamily secondary bathrooms
✨ Retail fitting rooms

Each project comes with its own challenges, goals, and opportunities to improve how people experience a space. Whether it’s enhancing functionality, creating a more beautiful environment, improving acoustics, or selecting the perfect finishes, thoughtful design makes a difference.
