🐦🚨 Another Bird-Proofing Job That Failed
Today, we helped another homeowner fix a failed bird-proofing installation around their solar panels. We removed a nest, eggs, one dead pigeon, and a few flew out from underneath the solar array upon arrival.
Unfortunately, this is something we’ve been seeing more and more in recent years. And honestly, as a small family-owned business, it’s devastating to see homeowners spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on a bird-proofing job, only to have it fail within a year or two — leaving them right back where they started.
In today’s case, the existing guard was too small for the application, leaving openings that birds and critters could push through. Proper bird exclusion requires the barrier to adequately cover the space around the array and be securely installed so birds cannot simply force their way underneath.
Before hiring someone to bird-proof your solar panels, ask questions!
Please don't choose a company based solely on the lowest price. A failed installation can mean paying twice — once for the original job and again to have it corrected.
