In honor of World Smile Day - hope my story makes you smile.
A Lost Smile by E Cecilia Ray
“Are you lost?” said Keeper of Lost and Found.
“Yes, I seem to have fallen from someone’s face. I don’t know where they went,” said Smile from the puddle of muddy water.
“You’re transparent. You could be from anyone. I see you stretch. You could fit anyone.”
“Looks so, from what I see in my refection, it was human too.”
“Yes, definitely not an animal. Do you see a face you want to wear?”
Smile looked up at the shoppers walking past. With a jump of joy, Smile attached to a mirror.
And every face that passed saw a smile.
