Jackson County, you’ve been asking for help with dogs, and with the help of Jackson County Animal Shelter Gautier, MS (JCAS), we are delivering!

You already know that pet cat surgeries are $25 for all of 2026 (vaccines and microchip included!), thanks to support from JCAS and Friends of Jackson County Animal Shelter pets.

Now, we are overjoyed to offer $35 dog spays and neuters for Jackson County residents til the end of the year! This includes the rabies vaccine, DA2PP vaccine, and a microchip. This incredible opportunity is made possible by the BISSELL Pet Foundation and collaboration with JCAS to address our community’s needs!

What you need to know:

- A $30 NONREFUNDABLE DEPOSIT is required to book - this will go toward your total on the day of services (for $25 cats, if you don’t elect to add any other services then you will receive a $5 refund on the day of your appointment).

- No limit per household, but we book out far on dogs so schedule now!
- Pets must be at least 3 months old and weigh 3 pounds for surgery.
- Core vaccines (rabies, FVRCP for cats and DA2PP for dogs) and microchip INCLUDED!!

A great opportunity for spay/neuter!

We can help IF you're WILLING to help!!!!

We drive to Hattiesburg se practices a week to have surgeries for cats & dogs on the MS Gulf Coast.

We are able to help citizens that are having a hard time finding a vet with available appointments for Spay / Neuter surgery.

Right now for the next t few weeks, we have extra appointments that we had reserved for some of our foster babies; however, not all of them weigh enough for surgeryright now. So rather than loose the spaces, we are willing to help those that need them. Costs are minimal to the public. Please see flyer.

Today I made a crotchet swiffer duster thing so I don't have to keep buying replacements. 100% cotton yarn amd it can easily go in the washing machine after a couple of uses.
