Upon request of Mommy, I made this photo/storage box for my grandson's (Enver) 2nd birthday out of pallet runners and scrape boards.

Using kerf bending I was able to make a boxed frame with rounded corners, then added a back and front. The front has the cut out for the a photo and magnets to hold it in place. For the lettering, vinyl was used. Spray paint was used for coloring.

A unique, special gift which I hope both grandchildren will cherish.

Completed a special request from a neighbor to build a prototype hermit crab trap he called the "crab-a-tat". The idea is to place it at the end of the peir just above water level, put bait in the bottom/top V-shape area(s) which drawers the crabs to it. The crabs can enter the structure between the slats in the center, climb up and down the ropes to the baited areas and essentially get stuck there until removed by hand. The crabs would then be used for bait.

Not exactly on my wish-list. I'm thinking more on the lines that it would be a cool looking nautical base for a lamp.

Built this three chamber, unpainted hen nest box for my neighbor using pallet wood and discarded plywood pieces. Added cleated sides and back, as well as shingle appearing roofing just for decoration. Both the front panel as well as roof fully open for easy access.

Over the weekend I made this stained four shelf/single drawer mason jar wall rack out of reclaimed wood. The rack holds three different size jars and has a dowel running across each shelf to prevent the jars from falling out. A narrow but long drawer runs across the bottom which can ce used to store a jar sealer, extra caps, etc. Finally, this was made for Kelly and is personalized with three stacked K's cut into the sides. I'm sure she'll have fun filling all the jars with lots of goodies.

My first project of 2026 was the assembly of these beautiful, delicate menorah and chanukiah (simply known as Jewish candle holders). The majority of the parts to make these were from outside sources (Woodpeckers Crafts, Direct to You, and Amazon), hence the reason I only credit myself with assembly. The only hand made parts were the outside star circle and base. It was a great challenge to fit and align all the parts together, but I believe you'll agree the result was worth it.

My final completed project for 2025 are these two vinyl and wood plaques. They are 12" squared, the wood (reclaimed by a neighbor for me) is stained blue which accents the gold vinyl framed Jewish star. This was a special order which will be given to family in Jersalem.

I realize it's been a little while since my last post. That doesn't mean I've given up yet. My latest project brings me to this green house created for my garden. On one of my savages I found some very large display cases. The casters were what I originally took them for, but when I opened one of them I found a welded aluminum rack. With some creativity, plastic, pallet wood, and screws; a green house was made, which will be used for vegetable and flower seedlings all year long.
