June 13th at 6 PM!

Introducing our next amazingly talented accessories artist Hawk & Root! 🌿

Sarah Searfoss (Hawk & Root) is a multi-disciplinary artist exhibiting in a variety of galleries and locations across the Florida Panhandle and southeastern United States.

Her work illustrates the cyclical transformation of the feminine through channels of nature, folklore, and materials.

Searfoss creates printmaking designs, which are then printed on hand-sewn and dyed fabrics. They’re hung from items tied to hearth and home, such as sewing bobbins, wooden spoons, rug beaters, embroidery hoops, and rolling pins.

Ceramic pieces draw inspiration from Welsh folk practices and the Florida panhandle landscape.

On June 13th you can find Sarah and her beautiful works in front of Panama City Center for the Arts 6-9pm.

I picked up this frame from a thrift store, and now I’m going to create artwork to put in both sections of the frame.

I’m thinking some summer solstice designs. It’s a bit early, but this year hasn’t been about celebrating things on a perfect timeline. It’s been more of a season of finding time to work on things I enjoy.

I love experimenting with glaze combinations, and I make small batches of ornaments with them. No two ornaments will ever look the same, so it creates something unique!
