Lee's Summit, Missouri roofers: it's 2 p.m. and you're up on a roof. Your phone rings. You can't answer.

That customer waited maybe 30 seconds before they moved on to the next name in Google.

Most roofing businesses have no system for what happens in that gap. No text back, no follow-up. That lead just evaporates.

I set up a missed-call text-back that sends a message from your business within seconds of a missed call. Keeps the conversation alive while you're doing the actual work.

I build it, I set it up, and it runs on its own. Nothing for you to manage.

Send me a message if you want to see how it works.

Olathe, Kansas electricians: a homeowner finds you on Google at 8 p.m. and fills out your quote form.

What happens next?

If that form sends an email to an inbox you check once a day — nothing. They've already called someone else.

A quote form that texts you right away changes that. You get the lead in your hand while they're still thinking about you.

I build sites with forms that send a text to you and to the customer the second they hit submit. No lead buried in a folder somewhere, no follow-up three days later.

Send me a message and I'll show you how it works.

Most people don't just read your reviews. They read your responses.

When a customer leaves a review and you don't reply — good or bad — the next person searching for your business sees that too. Silence says you're not paying attention.

When you take 30 seconds to respond — thank someone, acknowledge a concern, show you actually read what they wrote — it tells the next customer something real about how you run your business.

It's one of the simplest things you can do to build trust before someone ever picks up the phone.

Scroll through your Google profile today and look at your recent responses. What do they say about you?

Most people have already made up their mind about your business before they call.

According to BrightLocal's 2025 Local Consumer Review Survey, 83% of consumers use Google to research a local business. They're reading your reviews, checking how many you have, and comparing you to the competitor two listings down.

If you've got a handful of reviews and the most recent one is from six months ago, a lot of those people are choosing someone else.

I help local businesses build a consistent system for collecting new reviews from real customers — so your profile stays active and credible.

People decide about your business in seconds — before they read a single word.

When someone finds you on Google and clicks through to your site, the layout, the clarity, and whether they can immediately tell what you do all happen in the first few seconds.

If your site looks outdated, cluttered, or hard to navigate, a lot of people are quietly bouncing before they ever get to your phone number.

I build websites for local businesses that are designed to hold attention and make the next step obvious — on the first screen.

If you want to see how your site stacks up, head over to dogmarketingsystems.com.

Most people searching for a local business are doing it on their phone.

If your site doesn't load fast, isn't easy to tap through, or buries your phone number below three sections of text — they're gone. And they didn't call.

I see this a lot with local business sites. The desktop version looks fine. The mobile version makes people work too hard to reach out.

Your site should make it easy to call or book from any screen, in about five seconds.

If you're not sure how your site looks on mobile, pull it up right now and go through it like a new customer would.

What's the first thing people find when they land on your site from their phone?

Every missed call is a customer deciding whether to try the next number.

Most local businesses have no system for what happens when a call goes unanswered. No callback. No text. Nothing. So that person moves on.

I help businesses set up a simple missed-call text-back — when someone calls and you can't answer, they automatically get a text from your business within minutes. Keeps the conversation alive while you finish the job.

It's one of the most overlooked gaps I see in small business setups around here.

If you want to see how it works, check out dogmarketingsystems.com or send me a message.

Old reviews can quietly cost you customers.

When someone searches for a local business, they're looking at more than your star rating. They're checking how recent your reviews are. A business with its last review from eight months ago can look like it's barely hanging on — even if you're busier than ever.

New reviews coming in regularly tell Google and your customers that you're active and people are still choosing you.

Most of your customers would leave a review if you just made it easy to ask.

I help local businesses set up a simple system for that. If you want to see how it works, visit dogmarketingsystems.com.

Most missed calls don't call back.

Think about the last time you called a business, got no answer, and then just called the next one on the list. That's exactly what's happening to your customers right now.

A missed-call text-back can send an automatic message within about 30 seconds — lets the caller know you saw them and gives them another way to reach you.

It won't replace picking up the phone. But it can keep a lead from walking to your competitor while you're finishing a job.

Your website is open for business right now. Is it working?

Most local business owners focus on showing up — getting the phone number right, having a clean design. What gets missed is whether the site is actually doing anything once someone lands on it.

A good website should be answering questions, pointing people toward the next step, and making it easy to reach out — whether it's 10 AM or 10 PM.

If your site looks fine but leads aren't coming in, the problem is usually the structure, not the design.

I build websites for local businesses around that idea. Head over to dogmarketingsystems.com to see how I approach it.
