One of our specialties at CBI is working with what our clients already have. For this primary bedroom the carpet, furniture, lighting and the cream bedding were recently added. Our job was to pull everything together. Our clients love color so we chose the most gorgeous fabrics 😍 In a room this big (and a tad short on architectural interest) framing the four windows in custom drapes is a game changer. This summer we spent time at our favorite grill and drafthouse. We added commercial vinyl to the long hallway, repurposed the barn door sliders into a one-of-a-kind 400 square foot drapery treatment! These gorgeous Java colored drapes divide the rooms for private parties AND help with noise absorption. We also chose a bigger better option for server storage. DW Construction

Another stunning artisan home. Can’t believe it’s been a whole week since the tour ended. If I had to use one word to describe this Willis home, it is GLAM! From the abundance of stone to the black and gold. She’s a shiny one! Also… notice the two tier island countertop. I spotted this more than once on the tour. Everything comes back around.

Our last stop in Parkville was Artisan #6 by Owen Homes | Home Builder & Renovations. We didn’t get far because we were immediately in awe of this origami bird fixture…like WHAAT? This “wing” 😉 of the house is completely glass giving total treehouse vibes. There was the most amazing blue range but we both failed to get a picture 😭 The best part of this tour was meeting Charielle, one of the builders at Owen. Listening to her talk about the house was so refreshing. You could literally feel her passion and pride for what she does. I scurried away to the bus…wishing I had more time to visit. OH and the next stop was ALL the way back to Olathe to visit The Fabulous Fern (where I found the perfect baseball cap).

Stop #2 was another CB 😉 Casa Bella Homes. It was so warm and welcoming. LOVED all the reclaimed wood, and the powered screened-in panels for a bug free night…I definitely grabbed that flyer! Also that towel station is so resort level-a vibe I felt in several of the homes this year.

Melissa and I took the “day off” Friday to view some of the most stunning homes in KC. Our first stop was #5 in Parkville, MO by Starr Homes and Nova Design. It was stunning! We didn’t have a lot of time but here’s a few things that caught my eye. The one where your old boss (he doesn’t like that word lol) calls you to makeover the family room 🙌 It has been so fun working with these two! New flooring, custom bar cabinet and solid wood floating shelves, the bar height table is a funny FB marketplace story (with a happy ending ❤️), custom sofa table adds additional seating without crowding the walkway. LOVE how this space is filled with so many memories for this family. I still can’t decide on my favorite part 🤔 The candle holder we turned into a b**r flight, the canvas bag I found in the bottom of a storage tote and folded it down to hold the plant and all the mini bats. The bottle caps. The mirror I scored for $30 or the fact that a couple of teachers just happen to have a street sign with their name on it 😂 TheFlyingB Gaumats International
