We’re officially back next week!
AND after all this time away, I thought we needed to mix things up a bit and show some appreciation for both the friends who are able to come see us in person and those of you who cheer us on from a little farther away. We’ve never actually done a giveaway before, but considering all the ways you have shown up for us and supported our little business over the years, this felt like a fun way to celebrate all of you!
I’ve put together a basket with the perfect variety of our fall favorites for one of you to take home. Inside you’ll find one of our limited-edition ceramic pumpkins filled with our new Heirloom scent, a 24 oz Pumpkin Harvest candle, Cranberry Orange Spice room spray, a Twigs & Sprigs car freshener and a Caramel Pumpkin Crunch freshener.

We didn’t take this decision lightly.
We’ve always tried to be as transparent as possible with our customers, so I wanted to share a small change to our candle pricing.
For the past three years, we’ve worked hard to absorb increases on nearly every material that goes into making our candles—from wax and fragrance to jars, packaging and everything in between—without passing those costs along to you. This fall, another significant increase in freight costs finally pushed us to a point where we could no longer maintain our current candle prices without compromising somewhere else. And compromising the quality of what we make simply isn’t something we’re willing to do.
Effective today, September 2, our 8 oz., 16 oz. and 24 oz. candles will increase by $2. For now, pricing on wax melts, room sprays and car fresheners will remain unchanged.
Even with this adjustment, we’ve worked hard to keep our candles priced well below what you’ll often find for comparable hand-poured, locally made 100% soy candles. More importantly, we remain committed to making them the same way we always have—with quality ingredients, careful processes and a whole lot of hands-on attention here in our little Olympia shop.
I’m incredibly grateful that after all these years, I still get to make something that finds its way into your homes, gets wrapped up as gifts, burns at your dinner tables and becomes part of your everyday lives. I never take that for granted. Thank you for continuing to support this little business and allowing us to keep doing what we love.
And on a much more fun note—we’ll be OPEN next week! Come see us Thursday, September 10 from 3:30–7:30, Friday, September 11 from 11–4, and Saturday, September 12 from 9–2. We have Heirloom waiting for you, returning fall favorites, ceramic pumpkins and a few other things I’ve been keeping under wraps.

Mark those calendars—we are back!

Our fall reopening is officially set,

For the first time ever, we thought it would be fun to do a raffle prize for all who can attend! Plus you’ll have first dibs on our ceramic pumpkin jars—and a few new surprises we’ve been working on behind the scenes.

And speaking of new…
Meet HEIRLOOM, our newest scent for fall. Think vanilla mousse, creamy marshmallow and warm amber. It’s soft, warm and a little unexpected.

We’re also very happy to welcome Twigs & Sprigs back to the lineup (yay!), along with the always lovely Cranberry Woods.

I know some of us are ready to dive headfirst into fall while others are still hanging onto every last bit of summer. If you’re somewhere in between, we’ve got you covered. All of your favorite year-round scents will be here, along with plenty of options that make that slow transition into fall a little easier.

We’ll be sharing more details—and a few peeks at what we’ve been working on—over the next couple of weeks.

Don’t worry—we’re not going anywhere! While we won’t be hosting additional open houses this summer, business will continue as usual. The shop will remain available for private appointments and online order pickups throughout July, so you’ll still have plenty of ways to browse and restock your favorites.
Summer is a special time for our family, and I love having the opportunity to slow down, enjoy time with my kids, tackle a few projects around the house, and recharge before the busy fall and holiday season begins.
We’d love to see you before our summer break from open houses!

Hi everyone! A little update on my shoulder surgery and our next shop opening—
So many of you have reached out over the last couple of weeks to check on me and wish me a smooth recovery, and I truly can’t thank you enough. During those first few days of being laid up and not moving much (which tbh was driving me a little crazy), your messages brought me much comfort and peace. I always say I have the most thoughtful, compassionate, and incredible customers—but when life throws something hard at my family, I’m reminded all over again just how true that really is.
I’m happy to share that surgery went even better than expected, and with each day I’ve been feeling more like myself again. I still have some limited mobility, but I’m officially out of the sling and start PT next week—which feels like such a big step forward.
It seems like the next few weeks-all of a sudden?-are packed full of those special opportunities to show some love and appreciation (think Mother’s Day, teacher, nurse, coach etc). Which is why it feels like the perfect time to open things back up and help you get a head start on thoughtful gifts for those who make such a difference in our lives.
I know this isn’t a ton of advance notice, but I’ll be opening the shop this next weekend

I’ll also have availability for shop appointments on Monday + Wednesday.
