Squire Woodworks

Squire Woodworks Serve something bigger than yourself. A squire was a knight's servant, armor/shield bearer, or a knight in training. My story begins a little differently.

As time has evolved the definition has a few meanings. It can now be used for the village head or lord of a manor. My Grandfather's nickname was Squire as dubbed to him by my Grandmother. This man taught me how to work with my hands, about an honest day's work, and a lot about life in general. He also taught me how to take a simple piece of wood and turn it into a work of art. With the impact this

man had and continues to have on my life I wanted to name my business in homage of him. My Grandfather led a life of servitude to others. He raised a family, farmed the land, and served in his community. As I grew up I adopted a simply way of thinking, and that a hard day's work is never wasted. I joined the US Army straight out of high school, and served for eight years from 2002-2010. Had two years on Active Duty, and the remainder in the Army Reserves. In 2007 I began working in Corrections. Each of these career paths have shown me how to help others, and serve something bigger than yourself. As I raise my own children I want to show them all of these things. When it comes to woodworking whether it is a simple item to hang on your wall, or a custom built in bookshelf I want to make art and show the beauty of this craft.
