Update on where I have been. As most know, I had a massive heart attack on March 26th, and I wasn't expected to live long enough to make it to the helicopter that airlifted me to Tallahassee. Thanks to the EMTs and the Flight Nurses, I was made stable, and got to the hospital. On April 1st I had a Quadruple Bypass surgery. After a couple days in the ICU, and 11 total days in the hospital, I was sent home to finish my recovery. They had to take the radial artery out of my left forearm, and it left my left hand damn near completely useless. So now I am just over 2 months into my recovery, and I have gained much of my strength back, I am healing up nicely, and my left hand is making a great comeback. I had a short setback due to getting pneumonia in my right lung that had me back in the hospital for 6 days last week. So the countdown has begun as I am about 3 more weeks until I get released to be able to get back to the bench. I will have some limitations to start, but I am excited to be able to get back to building some furniture, and finish up some projects that I was working on when the heart attack tried to take me out. To all that have helped me and my family during our time of need. This has been a roller-coaster of of a situation, with extreme highs and lows, but with the support and encouragement from my amazing family and friends, I have been able to keep my head up, and my eye on the prize.
