Ok… ok… I know when I’m beat!

The store will be closed tomorrow… and I’m really not sure for how long, as I do not have a roof over much of my building, not wven ceilinga to rooms, which also means… no heat.

I will keep everyone posted as the day goes by.
This is NOT the way I’d planned…

The only hook is that you MUST have prior sales experience with the public, be willing to work Saturdays, and have your own transportation. Professional full time position is available providing the right person with an awesome salary, commissions and thank you bonuses direct from me for showing how much you really care for your customers! Just shows that people DO pay attention!

Our circuit board was out for a week on our reader board. When no message is posted the board defaults to a green “smiley” face.

This just came in my corporate email (name and info deleted by me as not to embarrass ). My drapery/window designer mentioned something last week about it too, that someone had brought it to HER attention! Proves ya never know what catches peoples attention! Always be on your toes! Thanks for the inquiry!

Setting the record straight.
First of all, this Facebook account is left over from when Jackie was the manager of Alaska Wholesale Flooring, which was owned by me, and my husband Joe Beucler. The company was disbanded more than 10 yrs ago by my husband, sole and only owner, Joe Beucler. I am doing what I can to remove the page as Carpwt World of Alaska has its own page I try to keep updated. So please refer to it for updates and info. Thanks. I appreciate your support.

Well, it looks like another lovely winters day here in Alaska!
We will be closing today at 1:00 pm at the latest, due to road conditions.

I will keep you posted as to openings and closing throughout the week as we are headed into a rough week.

Day one for a newby onboard and first Saturday for another very recent hire.

Anyone that knows me knows I LOVE NEWBYS!!! Typically they know (upon hire) that I tease a lot, as I have noticed that those are the moments a new hire remembers most about their first couple days with a new career. They learn!!! I am always around training sessions as it reminds me of things I may have either forgotten myself, or thing that may have changed over the years. So I like to try to make it more comical, and relaxed rather than stressful and overwhelming. They learn quicker when they can react (hopefully) positively with a joke, and helps them to relax into their new position. All wanting to work together as a team! So rare and humbling to now have such a full staff.

I know I have a winner in these 3 newbys! All hand picked, amazingly sharp gentlemen, and willing to make a career in this industry and learn from the pros!

Carpet world officially welcomes
David, Justin and Jake to the TEAM. I am very confident they will grow to be a success, and very excited to be the company to give them those tools needed to excel. I couldn’t be more proud of my GM Matt, for helping these hires and assisting scoping out the very best for our company. A very special guy to have around!

Also, we continue to pray for our Tommy, who is still recovering, and progressing well. He is scheduled to retire (move back to Alabama) next month, and he will be sorely missed around the store! So much knowledge and decades of experience! We will miss him next week after his retirement party… I hope he does come back to visit us, and often. I love him very much, and wish him only the best for him and his lovely wife, Lisa, as they travel back east to retire down in the states.

So come see us… we are hoping to be full of… well… everything!!! And look forward to servicing your flooring needs here in Alaska. No job is too small and insignificant, nor too big to tackle with know-how!
