FINAL version
"Shadow of Medusa's wings".
Changed her snake body, finished her bow, arrows and quiver. I have worked on her for over a month. Test printing, resculpting, test printing again, I love how she turned out! She's beautiful!
Long before the poets painted her as a monster to be feared, Medusa was a guardian of the salt and deep, a sister born with great golden wings that once caught the light of a world that hadn’t yet turned against her. While modern stories focus only on her "curse," the ancient truth is that she was a creature of the sky and sea, powerful and majestic. "The Shadow of Medusa’s Wings" captures her in that quiet, heavy moment of transition, after the grace of flight was taken, but before the world forgot she ever had the power to soar..
In this sculpt, the serpents are more than just a crown; they are her new sentinels, replacing the feathers she lost to protect a truth that history tried to turn to stone. This piece explores the weight of what she used to be, finding the regal "Guardian" hidden beneath the myth. It isn’t just a portrait of a monster; it is a tribute to the strength found in the shadows of a lost sky, reminding us that even when we are grounded, we still carry the memory of our wings.
