Made a Remembrance Bouquet last night to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

A red poppy is the usual symbol of military remembrance, but it’s still on my list to design, so in the meantime some forget-me-nots and roses will do. I added a pink rose to the bouquet because the last flowers my dad got me were for my 17th birthday just about month before he was KIA in Afghanistan. I was going through pictures last night and found one single photo of the flowers he gave me. I almost forgot all about them.

Spending today feeling grateful to all of the heroes who gave their lives and thinking about the families they left behind. Because of them, we get to enjoy the freedoms we have today. ❤️🤍💙

Life lately. 💜

Hydrangeas blooming, new projects made, strawberries picked, fun coffee drinks, family time, walks, sunshine, good food, kitty cuddles, sharing fun flower bouquet ideas with you all.

2025 was a hard year, but this year has been really redeeming. Seeing God’s grace through the trials and not just knowing my purpose, but feeling it, has been really really good.

Mother’s Day was spent with my little family yesterday and I’m just happy and grateful I get to be my kids’ mom. I don’t show them on here to respect their privacy, but really wish you could know them because they’re so awesome. 🥹 Also really thankful for my own mom who gave me the best gift in the world, a heart that loves Jesus and the skill of making things with my hands. ❤️

I absolutely loved seeing all the beautiful Mother’s Day bouquets being shared yesterday as well! Still so thankful that these flowers are bringing such light and beauty into others peoples lives. Thank you all for sharing what you’ve made! 💐

Day 3 of Mother’s Day bouquet inspiration. 💜

This one is definitely my new favorite! 🤩 Can’t get over these gorgeous colors together. Make sure you check the last slide to see what colors I used from & latest yarn release! ☀️

I hadn’t made a Baby Blue Eyes flower in the longest time, so I had to try it in some Dewdrop! I think it added the perfect extra touch to pull this bouquet together. And if the sunflowers are a favorite of yours, Cedar + Sunny is the most perfect combo. 🤩

Are you planning on making a Mother’s Day bouquet?!

Upcycle my kids water table with me! 💦🌱

I promise I’ll be back to crochet content soon, but this was too fun not to share! As precise as I like to be with my crochet patterns, I’m actually not too much of a perfectionist in real life when it comes to projects like this. 😂 I’m very much okay with a “good enough” result, and that’s what this one turned out to be. I could have taken more time cleaning out the inside or perfectly drilling holes and placing flowers, but it was a project I just wanted to get done so I could get back to other projects!

I actually got this water table on Facebook several years ago for only $7. So to turn one good deal into something else I can still use for a while feels really good!

After hosing the table down, I started drilling holes until my husband recommended we just cut the whole inside layer out. So I drilled some more holes just into the bottom for better draining and then we used a dremel for the inner layer. Then we spray painted it with a leftover can of green spray paint we had from my son’s Halloween costume. I didn’t want to buy more paint, so we had to make it stretch! We missed some spots, but it’s good enough for me. 😂

I let it dry overnight and then filled it with some soil! I planted petunias, salvia, dahlias, geraniums, marigolds, and this other pretty flower I never heard of called calibrachoa. 💜

Definitely recommend if you have a water table or something similar you’re not using!

Crocheting outside in the warm, breezy, spring weather is my happy place. 🌱

Couldn’t resist snapping a picture today as I’m getting closer to finishing up this chunky chevron blanket for my son. I haven’t been following a pattern, kind of just winged it to start and have been using the herringbone half double crochet stitch for the whole thing. I’m loving the texture so far!

Yarn I’m using is in Cranberry and Bubbly Blue! Hook is my favorite 8mm from 😍

Day 2 of bouquet inspiration for Mother’s Day 🌺

If you know someone who loves a good whimsical color scheme, then this bouquet would be the perfect fit.

If you’re looking to make a smaller version, any 3 of these flowers combined would be so good. I love capturing 5 at a time because it looks so beautiful and full, especially in a nice big vase! But smaller bouquets can be just as sweet, so don’t feel like you have to go big every time. 💜

If you have any ideas for some color or flower combos you’d like to see in a bouquet, let me know in the comments! I’m working on several more bouquets to share, but would love your creative input too. 🫶🏼

Sneak peek at a new free blanket pattern coming to the blog soon! ✨

It’s basically my Madeline Baby Blanket pattern with a few sizing modifications. It’s still got the 4 color blocks and same main pattern…just a bit bigger and more festive spin for the holiday season. 🎄🤭

Perfect for cuddling on the couch with hot chocolate and a Hallmark movie. 🥰

Would you believe that this is actually the first Christmas blanket I’ve ever crocheted for myself? 🙃I’ve been telling myself for years that I would make one and with each Christmas season that went by, I just never prioritized it. So I told myself I would make one this year, and it’s honestly been the biggest JOY.

The stitch pattern for this blanket is so smooth once you get the hang of it! Can’t wait to share the full blanket reveal with you super soon! ✨
