Watch for timeless finds like lanterns, plain pumpkins, ribbon, wreath forms, and faux fall foliage. Some can work for Thanksgiving this year! And if a witch, ghost, or bat catches your eye, tuck it away for next Halloween.

Enjoy those ghosts and witches a little longer—but start thinking about which pieces can carry you right into Thanksgiving!

Plain pumpkins, lanterns, fall foliage, woven baskets, and warm-toned ribbon make a beautiful seasonal foundation. After Halloween, remove the spooky accents and add a turkey, a “thankful” sign, or a new bow. A few simple swaps can give your favorite display a whole new look!

A package of inexpensive black bats can take a plain wall, mirror, doorway, fireplace or existing fall display from October to OCTOBER in about five minutes. 🎃
