As you read this, please know how I am so appreciative of you who give to the Lord. It is an honor to serve on the front lines. We love our donors and appreciate the fact that you believe in what we do, and you know it is worthy of your gifts of kind. We rely on you who give to continue to do the work we were called to do. So thank you. I stand confidently saying, I am I am not ashamed of the gospel and I am proud to be doing the Lord's work. This ministry was not our decision, God actually put this together and it is all for Him. He gets all the praise for what he did in our lives and how he uses our story to save lives and save families.
I am never really great at the fund raising things and it is possibly because I feel like the begger standing on the side of the highway with a sign. Ministry would be so much easier if we didn't have to worry about funding.
Yesterday was giving Tuesday. Did you give to a non profit or did you see those requests and roll up the window and pretend they aren't there?
Giving is at the lowest its been in the history of our years in ministry, and we've been in ministry for 30 years. I will be honest, at times I think we can't continue, and then God reminds me to trust him. It really messes with your mind honestly because you are technically asking humans to give gifts, but then rely on God to convict the giver to give. Paul is the one who checks all of that and does the accounting, so I have no idea if we recieved a million dollars none at all. So again if you gave, thank you so much for answering the call of God and giving to our ministry.
Listen, I am not just asking for you to give to our ministry. I am asking for you to just give. You pick which ones. We are all struggling to survive this economy crisis right now, same as you. But remember you aren't giving to a begger standing on the street , you are giving to the Lord. It doesn't have to be on a Tuesday. And honestly it should be before black Friday or before Christmas lists start being checked. Make giving to God your first priority. We answered the call, but that isn't just our calling (referring to all non profit ministries). It is yours as well. Answer the Lord's call today to give on a Wednesday, or Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or a sunday! He deserves your first and best gifts. I grabbed a tag off the children's tree. You may have as well. Give to the children, but dig deeper in your pockets to the ministry that can help keep mom and dad staying together. That is the best gift of all to those children. Ask the workers how many of those kids have 2 parents at home or even one. Give somewhere, but consider giving to CMIC/Living180 ministries as well.
