Clutter isn’t just physical.
It’s mental too.

When your home is organized, something else happens:

• You feel calmer
• You stop wasting time looking for things
• Your home starts supporting your life instead of stressing you out

That’s what I call OHM — The Organized Home Mindset.

Organization isn’t about perfection.
It’s about creating space for what matters.

Which one do you feel most right now?
1️⃣ Stress
2️⃣ No time
3️⃣ Mental clutter

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL!

"HIGHLY RECOMMEND EMILY! Personal story here. Our home is small. Our family has grown. Four years ago we would’ve moved! But that’s out of the question with interest rates so high. So our solution was EMILY! I can’t recommend her enough. We’re so happy in our home now. It feels like a new home. We love what she did!!! Hope this encourages you if you’re on the fence about hiring Emily to go for it even if you start small. She did such a great job and we’re so happy!!!!!!! THANK YOU EMILY! 😃"

Thank you so much, Ricki, for your kind words and for bringing The Ohm in to help bring you and your family a little peace! 🤍🤍

🚨ORGANIZING CHALLENGE!🚨

Sometimes we get so overwhelmed that we don’t know where to start. So just tackle ONE DRAWER. The junkier the better but empty it, throw away what you don’t need and tidy that mess up.

Comment “done” before Sunday morning at 9am and I’ll pick someone to send a donation bin to!

BONUS if you capture a before and after photo and tag me in it! 🙌🏻

Just a drawer can do wonders for your mindset on what you can tackle next. You got this!

Embrace the power of Sunday preparation for an stress-free and organized week ahead! 📆✨

Here are some things I do on Sundays to help mentally keep my week straight:

1. Make a to-do list for the week ahead.

2. Make your meal plan for the week and grocery shop intentionally to fit the plan. This makes for less trips to the store throughout the week.

3. Put away the laundry that’s been sitting on the guest bed or in the basket ready to be folded and put away. Knock it out and move to #4.

4. Plan outfits to streamline your morning routine. This is more for my kids than it is for me. I lay out their clothes and extras (like swim for summer camp) to ensure everything is ready to go. But it can easily be for you too if you spent way too much time making decisions in the morning.

5. Review and prioritize tasks for the upcoming week. I make a “personal” and a “work” list. It helps keep me straight on what is most time sensitive.

6. Tidy up the kitchen and living room. Get it reset for the week. If you have young kids like me, just do your best 😂

7. Schedule workouts and personal time. Put it on the calendar or it may not happen.

The preparation may feel time consuming at first but the payoff is a mentally a more confident week ahead. Give it a try and let me know how you did!

Be intentional.

I’ve used the word “intentional” a lot lately with regard to how impactful it is when what is said is well thought out. But then I started realizing that it’s not just what you say, it’s how you live. Where you live. And what you surround yourself with.

What do you want your home to look like and feel like when you walk in the door? Visualize it.

Does it feel that way now? Probably not. But it could. If you have a vision for your space and there’s too much stuff in the way, it’s time to declutter.

Be intentional. With everything.

My grandmother had a sewing room that was filled with boxes and boxes of fabric and miscellaneous other things that was piled so high you couldn’t open the door all the way. Her “store room” was scary to even look in as a kid. I usually opened the door just to get the tin can of crayons and then quickly shut it.

I’ve been in true hoarder homes because someone died and it was my job to investigate their death. Barely being able to fit down the path in the hallway.

Someone has to deal with this. And it’s usually the people they loved.

This is a reality I’ve seen for years. In family. In many death investigations. Make no mistake, it is a burden and can be handled now.

Swedish Death Cleaning is a method of decluttering to get rid of the stuff that you nor your family will need when you pass away. Often it is saved for the end of life. But we never know when that will be.

Start now. Handle it now. And if you need help, I’m here. I don’t shy away from conversations about death. It’s necessary and I’m ready when you are to address it.

The Organized Home Mindset now offering Swedish Death Cleaning and an open door for the hard conversations.

We all need a little break every now and then. I’ll be back soon with some great content but for now, I’m going to enjoy the sunshine (with my guys) while it’s out. 😎

🚨 Local needs for children and teens 🚨

The last few days of January and our NEEDS list is really growing and spilling over to FEBRUARY'S list...

☀ We have a couple of homes in need of GRACO SLIM CAR SEATS (8 REQUESTS)

As an example, one message we received conveyed the struggle of how their bulky car seats take a space and a half on their bench 😢 in order to keep siblings together, they need that space to be available.

General requests and most shopped for items:
☀ TWIN MATTRESS COVERS
☀ TWIN BEDDING (Gender neutral for teens)
☀ BALANCE BIKE (Gender was not gIven)
☀ NEW IN PACKAGE - UNDERWEAR (ALL sizes)
☀ NEW IN PACKAGE - SOCKS (ALL types & sizes)

🚨🚨 CRITICALLY LOW OR OUT OF. 🚨🚨

⚓ DIAPERS - ALL SIZES
⚓ WIPES
⚓ TOILETRY ITEMS
♥ DENTAL,
♥ GROOMING
♥ FEMININE

☀ ANYTHING TRENDING FOR TEENS
♥ Often a group that is overlooked ♥

Again, these are the most recent items foster parents have come to the closet in search of...

JANUARY 2024 - We served 65 children in care.

⚓ DEEPEST appreciation goes out to ALL of you for making this possible!
Without the generous donations from our local families, Local KREWES, Ashley Burton Rowzee, Little Angel Boutique, Lullabies and Mudpies Events, The Organized Home Mindset, CARTER'S Appareal and the list goes on - NONE of this would be possible.
