We call it personality, of course. And we love this one.

This dining room used to be dated and didn’t work for how our clients actually live. It couldn’t seat guests comfortably, and it made an awkward path between the front door, their new covered patio, and the rest of the home.

Now it’s a dining room when they need one, and the spot where everyone lands for cocktails when the party spills in from the patio. 🍸

We went bold with color and texture: a fully custom olive leather banquette, rich wood paneling, and patterned velvet chairs.

And we used every inch. That builder-grade load-bearing column? We built it out into hidden storage for glassware, serving pieces, and the pretty things that make entertaining easy. Swipe to see how we did it and where we started. Function can be beautiful, even in a structural column.

Once an empty hallway corner, turned twinkle star kids chill out/play a little corner 🧸 because what kids don’t want one of those? We love to transform empty spaces into useful, fun and purposeful spaces for all of the little magical memories.

I’m beyond excited that the very special, important and needed niche of aging in place is being talked about- Thank you to Brad for highlighting this for home builders, designers and GCs alike. Fun fact if you’re just finding me… LNID offers specialized Aging in Place Design. Not only aging in place from an aging in place specialist perspective, rather from an interior designer who is also an occupational therapist for over a decade! I know that it does sound crazy, but have a listen and your mind will be blown at how much design and my OT background mesh and why it’s so imperative!! 🤯

This topic is so incredibly important for our population, regardless of age. We are all aging regardless of where we fall on the age timeline. Have you ever thought about that? As you age, will be able to get to your bedroom or will you have to relocate to an unfamiliar place? The purpose of AIP is that you are able to remain in the comfort of your own home for as long as possible, and we are the ones to call if you want that to happen. Looking forward to creating more discussions about this topic and its utter importance in the home building and remodeling industry. Here is the link to listen or find it at the link in my bio

The perfect balance of old and new, great design and a desire to preserve history all at once. That’s what creates this really freaking dapper library!! The history of this home is so beautiful. We leaned into that for this particular space of the home. We ultimately decided to keep the beautiful mahogany panels and millwork in the space (versus painting) and it truly brings an elevated feeling of charm to the space. Effortlessly paired with a vintage oxblood chesterfield sofa, ultra modern brass lamps, jade gemstone side tables, a family heirloom rug- just to name a few…I mean, come on! Stay tuned for the phase 2 photo drop on this beautiful project.
