I may have been MIA from social for a while, but I’ve been busy behind the scenes!

I had the incredible opportunity to get to collab with my fave band for their Patreon! The Knit S**t is all about making things that are fun and unexpected out of traditional materials and crafts. Inspired by the album cover for MBD’s farewell album, Egg and Dart, I created hand-felted wool coozies to keep your favorite beverage cold & your fingers warm.

These coozies started out as loose wool (and a bit of sparkle!) and were turned into a solid fabric through a labor intensive process known as wet-felting. Felts were then cut, needle felted, sewn, hole punched and labeled.

The process of wet-felting by hand means that each of the 8 dining-room-table-sized felts I made is unique, and each and every coozie (240 total!) # is one-of-a-kind! It may be possible to find a neighbor to your coozie, but never a twin!

I hope you love your new coozie as much as I loved making it! 🖤

10 years. 120 months. 3653 days.

Saturday was my 10 year headache-iversary. Ten years ago I woke up with a headache that still hasn’t gone away. Ten years ago the stable foundation that was being healthy in my 20s started to crumble.

Every year since then, I’ve made a post reflecting on the year’s struggles, symptoms, diagnoses, treatments, and medical trauma. I always try to find at least something positive because I try to live my life focusing on the things that make me happy.

I have been struggling this week to figure out what to say. 10 years feels like I should have something more significant, inspiring, or profound to share. But it just feels like another day of living with pain and chronic illness.

And I’m tired. I’m more than tired, I’m chronically ill tired, disabled tired, mom-to-an-infant tired. But I’m here, persisting. There are good days, there are bad days. Life looks a lot different than I imagined it would, but overall I am really grateful for how it’s going.

If you’re a spoonie & ever need someone to talk/vent to, I’m always a DM away 🖤

Four years ago, I finished this gorgeous sweater, Comfort Fade Cardi. I even won a prize from during their KAL. It was my third sweater I’d ever made and I still adore it and wear it often.

Have you ever noticed that, even within this lovely corner of the Internet - the online fiber community- we talk about sustainability, using quality fibers for heirloom type makes, and our impact on the environment, but we don’t often revisit and celebrate old makes*.

Well, thank you IG for giving me a little nudge, reminding me that I shared this gorgeous Cardi 4 years ago. Today, I am going to celebrate it again!

It was knit with a gorgeous fade kit from and I added a closure. I modified the fade pattern for a smoother fade, & are rough directions for it on my Rav project page.

🖤❤️ M O T H M A N ❤️🖤

This lil crochet friend helped me find some creative joy while being a new mom. Stealing moments for a row or two on a small project means they are finished before you know it!

I have been reminded of how much I love making silly little things with yarn, which is how The Knit S**t first started out.

I was surprised that while chenille generally makes me cringe, chenille yarn is actually pretty great to work with! I swore I’d never use faux fur yarn, but here we are… the things you do for your kids, am I right?! 😅

I may have gone a little wild with this newfound joy. Prepare yourself for more cuteness.

Mothman Monday! Our favorite book for baby has inspired all sorts of fun with the only acceptable kind of moth: Mothman!

I finally took the plunge into the world of chunky chenille yarn amigurumi to make a little plush Mothman for BB. I forgot how fun and satisfying making crochet & knit toys can be! (And have since crocheted a bunch more little friends) This Mothman pattern is by and is extra awesome with its low-sew design.

Parenting as a chronically ill person reminds me often that I don’t need to do everything myself, and I couldn’t even if I tried. Hubs got me a serger for our anniversary and I WILL learn how to use the damn thing. But in the meantime, I’m so happy to support other makers like Carrie over at to get some amazing custom clothes for our little.

Been workin on this for 🫣 over a year 🫣 because 1x1 rib on US 3s for miles is not my favorite. I keep this project in my purse and get a row or three in when opportunities arise.

It was my first time at and my al pastor tacos and NA beer were delicious!

I loved knitting the Synchronicity Shawl for the little bit of mosaic detail down the center spine, but also lots of simple stockinette, making for a great relaxing/socializing project.

As I’ve realized I reach for achromatic knits much more than colorful ones, I’ve been collecting every brand of color-shifting yarn that makes a black/gray/white colorway to compare them all. For this shawl, I used ’s Colormix DK that I picked up at during the 2024 . There is less contrast in this colorway when compared to some other achromatic options, but it looks excellent when paired with black!

I used Nightshades for the MC because nothing beats the lightweight warmth of their woolen-spun Cormo.

I got so used to looking at the pattern pic where there is a dark border lined with light. My colors would have resulted in a gray with black at the end (and the black disappearing into the black clothes I will inevitably wear under the shawl), so I modified the color placement to be mainly black with a gray edge.

Lastly, I used ’s CordSmith tool for the iCord bind off. What fun! has a great video on how to use the CordSmith for applied iCord, and even shows what to do if your cord is too tight. I used a ratio of binding off two and picking up one from the row below. There’s a link to the video in my Rav project notes.

Back on a coffee kick after a 9ish year hiatus. Finding joy in drinks that have so many modifications that the baristas can’t keep it all in their head. But my heart still belongs to coffee as black as my yarn.

What’s your drink order? Let me know in the comments so I can try something new! ☕️
