Today I am working on a Graduation quilt full of soccer jerseys and tournament shirts and it is bringing back so many of my own memories of that time in my life.

Soccer played such a huge roll in my life, specifically Victory soccer club. This is the cup team I played for 20+ years ago. Looking back, I learned so much in those years. How to work hard, how to navigate the ups and downs of friendships, how to fight for what you want.
Just like my current life, I chose to walk a different path and play for Victory when the majority of my closest friends chose to play for a different team. I chose to step out and be uncomfortable and make many new friends along the way. It makes me realize that even then, God was leading me down different paths than many others, and boy He still is today.

If I could tell that confused 17 year old girl in the blue jersey one thing, it would be “keep moving, keep choosing your own path. It may be hard, but it will be so worth it!”

This sweet client sent me her husband’s cherished Grandmother’s house dresses.

I transformed them into heirloom keepsake bears for the 5 great grandchildren.

Such a sweet way for the little ones to remember her.
