I’m working on some client quilts in between the Finish Those Tops Challenge. This panto is so beautiful, but she is DENSE! I may have been playing thread chicken on this one!

Do you have any quilts that can just take you back in time? When I look at this one, I’m transported back to quilt retreat, laughing and playing games with friends. The memories I’ve made with my quilting community are some of my favorite.

I spent some time today refolding all the quilts in my quilt cabinet today. It was the perfect opportunity after pulling out my Halloween quilts to decorate the living room. I’ve been putting this off for a while because I thought it would take hours, but it only took about 30 minutes.
Keep in mind, this isn’t the only place in my house I store quilts!
I’m not quite ready to part with these ones yet, but I like imagining where they might end up one day.
How many quilts do you have in your home?

Now loading….. The King Salmon sweater.

I am forever starting new projects without finishing the last! At least this one is really holding my interest. Every line is different and I’m enjoying seeing the fish start to form. Hopefully I can finish it in time to wear during the fall!

Block #4 of the In The Sewing Room quilt along is this gorgeous pair of scissor by
I must admit, I’m not as precious about my fabric scissor as I should be. I tend to buy less expensive ones once and year, and demote last year’s pair to the junk drawer. Maybe one day I’ll own a pair of extra special scissors worth making threat over!

I have a really bad habit of leaving projects one step away from finished, like with this quilt top. I made all the blocks during a monthly puzzle mystery quilt from but then put off putting the top together for YEARS!
But now it’s all quilted and ready to be cuddles on the couch… as soon as I finish the binding of course.
What the oldest UFO you have lying around?

Spot the difference…
My husband and I went to see Project Hail Mary when it was in theaters, and as soon as I saw that sweater, it was all I could think about. When we got home, my husband told me he wished he had that sweater. Only problem was, I didn’t know how to knit!
Tony must have an indescribable amount of faith in my abilities, because he ordered me the kit and a set of needles that night.
I learned how to knit, made a practice sweater, and got to work. It took months, but his sweater is finally finished, and I promptly borrowed it to show off at my quilt guild meeting.
And I have to admit, I’m pretty damn proud of the one!
