I sometimes wonder if anyone has contemplated on what the best Trucker Song is more than myself. There are the obvious ones such as Eastbound and Down by Jerry Reed, Convoy by CW McCall, 6 days on the Road, Roll on, etc.

But my personal list rotates the following songs in various orders throughout the years.

Trucker Speed by Fred Eaglesmith
Willinā€™ Linda Rhonstadt (I know itā€™s a cover, hers is the best)
The House that Peter Bilt by Clutch
White Freightliner Blues by the GREAT Townes Van Zandt
Truckinā€™ by the Gratefull Dead

Itā€™s World Paloma Day. There seems to be some debate about where the name came from, who created it, and the ā€œproperā€ way to make one. I wonā€™t argue ya about any of that.

Personally, this is one of the few times I prefer a Reposado over Blanco. I make them a dozen different ways depending on the mood. Variations can be: Fresh squeezed juice vs soda ( ), repo vs blanco, agave syrup, topped with , amongst others. BUT, one thing remains the sameā€¦. I always prefer my glass with . My wife prefers salt.

Either way you canā€™t go wrong with a decent tequila, lime, and salt.
