Roger moved his office (Capital Strategies) from West Des Moines to East Village. Luckily for him, he knew an interior designer! 😉
The space definitely needed updated, but I was up for the challenge!
I started by picking out a dark carpet that would look best with their existing cherry wood office furniture. I already knew that I wanted to go with black trim, and it instantly gave the space a clean, crisp feel and really made it pop against the light walls. I love how the now-black doors look with the existing gold hardware. So, to keep with this modern look, I styled the rest of the office with gold and black accessories.
I also wanted to personalize the space for Roger’s assistant while still maintaining the flow of the office, so I created a small gallery wall for her, sticking with the gold, white, and black color palette.
Believe it or not, Roger was actually the perfect client! He trusted me to do what I wanted and was very happy with the final results. I think it’s time to ask for a raise! 😊

Finished my first springtime room transformation!

This client’s living room got a fresh new look with some simple changes.

New paint colors for the walls and cabinets make the whole space seem brighter, and by adding some new furnishings and accessories the living room has a cohesive look, with lots of pattern and texture.
