But after years of price increases (, we’re finding that the gap between semi-custom and fully custom is often much smaller than expected — especially once customization, delivery, installation, and coordination are factored in.

Semi-custom can still be a great fit, and factory-finished painted cabinets can be a real advantage. But before assuming it’s the more budget-friendly route, compare the full installed cost, understand what’s included, and ask questions about finish quality, customization, and process.

At Clay & Vine Interiors, we work with homeowners who want their homes to feel warm, timeless, personal, and thoughtfully pulled together — without having to manage every decision alone.

We help with the big-picture design direction, the detailed selections, the materials, the layouts, the cabinetry details, the lighting, the furnishings, and all the smaller layers that make a home feel complete.

Our background is rooted in both design and project management, which means we care just as much about the process, communication, documentation, and decision-making as we do about the final look.

A little look at projects in various stages — cabinets arriving at Interlachen, cabin sourcing underway, countertop and tile selections for the Brighton bath, 56th Ave nearing the finish line, grout prep starting at Sheridan Place, and a new primary bedroom design kicking off.

It’s always fun to see the mix of construction progress, sourcing days, material selections, and almost-finished moments happening all at once. We can’t wait to see the final layers, styling, and finishing details come together.
