personal post.....
It's hard for the viewer sometimes to remember that there is a human behind the image, an actual artist with a beating heart behind the art.
We have lives, health challenges, families, and experiences - both good and difficult. Often, all of it becomes a visual diary for the world to see.
The authenticity and honesty of who we are and what we experience gets translated through the language of brushstrokes.
Art isn't just a business for most of us, it's an outpouring of emotion, desire, lessons learned, and visual prayers that result in intimate beauty put out in the world for all to witness and experience.
We often find fellow travelers who relate to what's being communicated and that's a precious reward.
The interesting thing is that even if there was no recognition, connection, or applause, we would create anyway.
