Small business PSA from someone who is learning as she goes 😂👇

If you’re making and selling T-shirts, pleaseeee be careful with those cute little “I found it online” designs.

Just because you can find a picture of Freddy, Jason, Chucky, Disney characters, sports logos, etc. doesn’t mean you automatically have the right to slap it on a shirt and sell it.

Copyright and trademark don’t care that you’re a small business. 😬
And buying a design from someone who says “commercial use” doesn’t necessarily mean THEY actually had the rights to give you permission either.

I’m learning all of this myself while building T&C Creations, and let me tell you… I am not about to let a $5 design send my little business into a legal dumpster fire.

Make your own designs, use properly licensed artwork, and CHECK THE COMMERCIAL RIGHTS before selling it.

This isn’t me calling anybody out. I’m genuinely sharing because I’d rather see small businesses succeed than watch somebody get a very expensive lesson in copyright law. ❤️
