Trying a new engraving method on canvas. Lasers are versatile because you can engrave single thin lines and shapes, like with a super-fine pen, and also pulse various power dots to provide shading. Naturally, my first subjects are spaceships and vertical-axis wind turbines. Stay tuned.

I am reinventing Fair Oaks Design as a research site focused on renewable energy. There may be a time when physical goods are marketed again, but the website will primarily focus on sharing the engineering of a new vertical-axis wind turbine (VAWT) design.
