Add a touch of history and elegance to your home with this 8.3x10.3x3 clear shadow box. This exquisite piece of sea glass art, was meticulously crafted from genuine historic glass recovered from Lake Champlain, Vermont. Each fragment tells a story of its own, having begun its life in the 19th century as an everyday object (a bottle, a dish, or a vessel) shaped by human hands and later reshaped by the gentle touch of water and time.

This stunning anchor, assembled with precision and care, is a testament to the beauty of age, use, and survival. The fragments are not reproductions or decorative glass, but authentic artifacts of ordinary lives once lived along the shore. Preserved rather than perfected, each piece carries the quiet beauty of a bygone era.

The collection includes:

- A Bottle Lip Applied blob bottle finish fragment, hand-blown olive green glass, mid-19th century (circa 1845-1875), likely from a wine or spirits bottle used in Lake Champlain taverns and trade routes.
- A Pressed Glass fragment, olive green glass, late 19th century (circa 1860-1900), likely from a serving dish used in everyday domestic life along Lake Champlain.
- A hand-blown bottle piece used for beer or mineral water in the late 19th century. Its olive-green color, thick glass, and applied hand-finished feature reflect early glassmaking techniques. (circa 1870–1895)

May the sea glass be with you! This is what happens when your husband was so excited to share Star Wars with the kids and they weren't exactly feeling it...
BUT I was inspired! I created this 6x6 shadow box sea glass Baby Yoda that's out of this world. Who else needs a little bit of cuteness and calm in their life?

**HISTORY OF BOTTLE USED FOR THE NECK OF BABY YODA’S CLOAK**

Lake Champlain Black Glass Bottle Neck

Origin: Lake Champlain, Vermont
Material: Antique hand-blown bottle glass
Estimated Age: Circa 1870–1895

This sculptural fragment comes from the neck and shoulder of a 19th-century “black glass” bottle, most commonly used for beer or ale. The raised collar ring near the top was carefully shaped by hand, a hallmark of early glassmaking before the advent of fully automatic bottle machines.

During the late 1800s, Lake Champlain served as a major transportation corridor, lined with breweries, taverns, steamships, and working waterfronts. Bottles were routinely broken and discarded along the lake’s edges or from passing vessels.

After more than a century beneath the lake’s cold, fresh waters, this fragment was softened by wave action and time, developing its signature satin surface and rounded form. What remains is a tangible piece of everyday life from the 19th century—shaped first by human hands, then finished by nature.

Each Lake Champlain sea glass fragment is entirely unique, carrying both regional history and natural artistry.
