Tara's Studio I'm an encaustic artist in North Carolina. I heat natural pigments, inks, shellac, resin and beeswax with torches to create my works.

Inspired by nature's details that typically go unnoticed. I am an encaustic artist in North Carolina. My inspirations are details in nature that are often missed. I use beeswax, resin, shellac, inks, oil paints and pan pastels and (my favorite) torches! Kids are in college and I am in my studio with Lola (English Bulldog and studio assistant) cheering me on with her constant snores.
