So here is the little stool I redid. I painted, distressed it, and wiped a burnt umber glaze on it to "antique" it a bit. I upholstered it by sewing vintage and lace to a backing fabric and stapled it over the seat. I then got glued a braid trim around it. I think it turned out pretty cute😊

My daughter and I bought this little stool thinking we would redo it for my grand daughter's room. Well, it was sitting in my shed for over a year (or two, I don't even know) so in my quest to get all projects out
Of the shed I decided to go ahead and paint and reupholster it. I don't know what I'm going to do with it, it's not practical on what I used to reupholster it, but it sure turned out cute😊

I bought this frame years ago at a garage sale for $3, it's a generous size, 28 1/2" x 24", and holds a 16" x 20" print. I had this Clara Waever cross stitch cloth for a long time, it was the perfect size for the frame, and even though it wasn't finished I loved the colors in it. I bought the cloth at a junk shop, it had only the original tag on it with the original price, I posted a pic of the price tag to show you what the original price was. I got it for $1! I'm trying to get projects done around here that should have been done a long time ago. I's also my quest to "simplify" my life a little bit. I'm always anxious when I have unfinished projects but I also have not had any motivation for "projects", until recently. I enjoyed refinishing my bookcase and so happy that I actually got it done! I got this frame refinished right along with the bookcase, so happy with how it turned out.
