Rosetta the cat does the Downward Dog pose for October on this 2020 Yoga Cats calendar ($3.99)— reminding us all that it’s black cat awareness month, a time to give black cats a chance when adopting a cat from a shelter (they have lower adoption rates than other fur colors) and to raise awareness of/ prevent black cat abuse. This calendar is full of large images of all kinds of cats, perfect for cutting or framing! (Btw we are currently in need of old calendars from years 1993, 1999, 2010 and 2021, used or new, if you’ve got any you need to get rid of!)

Art festival tip! Got artist business cards you collected from last weekend’s Cottonwood Art Festival or from other art events? Frame them with inexpensive, pre-loved frames from Untrash! The cards are often mini prints of art or a photo of the artist’s work, and larger than a standard business card size; they make unique art pieces for your home or office, creative gifts, and if you or your friends/family ever want to see more/buy art from the artists associated with the cards, their contact info will not be lost in a drawer somewhere, just look inside the frame on the back of the card!
Shown:
(L) Mediterranean Morning by late local artist Becky Parks
(R) photo card of art by Rodrigo de Oliveira - Brazilian Visual Artist
(Frames shown are $3.99 ea.)

Untrash Creative Reuse is keeping pre-loved creative materials out of the landfill every day Cottonwood Market 10-6 M-F and 12-5 Sundays.
