Happy (belated) birthdays to RETEX's Aaren Davis and Katelyn Lewis!

Aaren runs our office in Richmond, and has been superb at helping homeowners schedule appointments, bookkeeping, and data organization. Katelyn co-owns RETEX and runs all of our branding and marketing, keeping Aaren busy with the incoming phone calls and web form leads. She's also our team photographer, videographer, website developer, volunteer day coordinator, and lead for our Teachers' Treats initiative.

We're grateful to have you both on our team, and hope you felt all the love on your birthdays. Happy birthday! 🥳🎈🎂

It’s getting SPOOKY over at the RETEX office!

Thankfully we know a good pest control company in the area.

We’re local homeowners, too, so if we can’t do your project or you need referrals for other services, like plumbing or drywall or painting, we’ve got folks we trust, recommend, and use in our own homes that we’re happy to send your way.

Are you getting into the Halloween spirit? Please send costume and/or sign decoration ideas for our consideration.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MARK! 🥳🥳

Mark Scarpino is our wonderful project manager, guiding homeowners through the repair and installation processes for their home exteriors.

When he’s not project managing for RETEX, Mark enjoys cooking – he even makes his own mayonnaise, and has for more than 10 years! He is one of the most level-headed people we know, which is extremely important when dealing with clients and our installation crews to make sure everyone is on. the right page and delivering high-quality work.

Mark, you’re a vital part of our team and we hope you have a wonderful day.

See our Roof for a Veteran campaign in-action in today’s Finished Roof Friday!

This Chester homeowner was nominated for our Roof for a Veteran campaign in August 2023. Put simply, we work with ABC Supply and Tamko Building Products to provide a free roof for a local veteran in need. Two days before Veterans Day 2023, we installed this asphalt shingle roof * for free * for Mr. BIlliter.

If you or someone you know is a U.S. veteran in need of a new roof, but who maybe can’t afford it, please reach out to us about our Roof For a Veteran program, We are accepting nominations for this year’s Veterans Day install through September 30.

Go to retexroofing.com/veteran to submit your nomination today.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JOHN!!

John Gordon is our general manager, helping to run and guide our Richmond sales and production teams as well as keep track of all of our other branch managers so we can make our prospective, current, and past clients feel at ease when they use and recommend RETEX to others for home exterior projects.

John is one of those guys who has a million things on his plate to keep our operations running smoothly, yet he will take your call and chat through a idea or concept for 30 minutes. We're grateful to have John on our team, for his patience, management tactics, and devotion to both RETEX and his family.

John, you’re an essential part of our team and we hope you feel all the love on your birthday.

Fun fact: Nick has written, recorded, and self-produced 70+ original songs. He was born and raised in Greensboro, NC, and claims to be "an aspiring morning person."

Welcome to the team, Nick – we’re pumped to have you onboard the RETEX train!

RETEX Teachers' Treats is BACK, with our first drop offs today at Bon Air Elementary School and Robious Middle School.

In 2025, RETEX's Katelyn Lewis launched the Teachers' Treats initiative to give back to our local educators. That fall, we stocked teachers' lounges at 20 schools in Richmond, 3 in Fredericksburg, and 2 in Charlottesville (our youngest branch, which had just launched earlier that year!).

We hope to spread more love to those who support and are a part of continuous learning this fall. Welcome back to school!
