I’ve been wanting to take Grimm & Grace in a direction that feels a little more refined, without losing the darker, mysterious side of what makes this brand what it is.

Golden Sovereign is a little glimpse of where we’re headed.

A candle and perfume pairing created with the same attention to detail I’ve always wanted to put into everything I make. From the packaging to the presentation, I wanted these to feel like something special before you even experience the fragrance.

BLACKTHORN HOLLOW | GRIMM & GRACE CANDLE CO.

There’s something about darker, more mysterious fragrances that I’ve always been drawn to, and Blackthorn Hollow is a perfect example of that.

I wanted this candle to have a little bit of everything. Something rich, slightly sweet, earthy, and sophisticated without being overwhelming.

Black plum, dried fig, and a touch of orange bring out a subtle sweetness, while smoked myrrh, oud, black amber, and moss give it that deeper, moodier character.

Even the label tells its own story. From the raven to the overgrown forest, I wanted the design to reflect the kind of atmosphere this fragrance creates.

It’s dark, elegant, and a little mysterious, but that’s exactly what I love about it.

Not every candle needs to be bright and cheerful. Sometimes something a little darker is exactly what a room needs. 🕯️
